Second Stage Round 6: Spartak - Derby 77-71

No shocking result in a game in Subotica where second ranked SerbianSpartak (13-9) defeated 8th ranked Montenegrin Derby (5-17) 77-71 on Monday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Spartak outrebounded Derby 44-31 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Montenegrin power forward Danilo Nikolic (206-1993) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Stefan Momirov (198-1999) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Spartak's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was power forward Aleksa Ilic (204-1996) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Darius Johnson (185-2002, college: UCF, agency: Inception Sports) scored 15 points and 6 assists. Four Derby players scored in double figures. Spartak have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 13-9 record having just three point less than leader Igokea. Loser Derby keeps the eighth place with 17 games lost. They share the position with Split.
